One Pot Lentil Rice Recipe
One Pot Lentil Rice Prepared by using EAT REGAL SPANISH RICE
This delicious, satisfying one-pot lentil rice recipe is easy to prepare. It is a quick, simple, and wholesome one-pot dinner that is perfect for a simple winter night's meal.
Since the flavor of the lentils and EAT REGAL SPANISH RICE is so flexible that you can pair it with multiple different cuisines, and nothing will seem out of place.
Ingredients:
- Olive Oil
- Chopped Onion
- Salt
- Chopped Ginger
- Chopped Garlic
- Strained Tomato
- Ground Cumin
- Ground Coriander
- Cayenne Pepper
- Boiled lentil
- EAT REGAL SPANISH RICE
- Parsley Chopped
- Lemon Juice
- Black PeppeR
Method:
- Heat up the pan to medium heat add the cooking oil, onion and 1/2 tsp salt. Adding salt to the onions will help release water and help it cook faster. Fry the onion on medium-high heat until it starts to caramelize. Add finely chopped ginger and garlic. Fry until onions are nicely browned (be careful not to burn the onion).
- Once the onion is caramelized, add the strained tomatoes/passata and spices. Give it a good mix. Add the boiled lentil and mix everything well.
- Now add EAT REGAL SPANISH RICE. Mix and cook it for 2-3 minutes.
- Add parsley, lemon juice, black pepper and drizzle of olive oil. Mix very gently, the rice is delicate at this point and we don't want to break it. Cover and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving (for flavors to blend).
